What is Add Page Numbers?
Long documents are easier to use when every page is numbered. Pick where the number goes, the format (1, Page 1, 1 / 10, Page 1 of 10), the size, colour and the first number, and check it on the live page preview before you save.
Numbers can collide with tables or footers that run to the edge of the page. Leave the blank-space option on and the tool adds a small clear band to each page so the number never overlaps your content.

When to use it

Will the numbers overlap my tables?
Not if you keep the blank-space option on. It adds a small clear band at the top or bottom of each page just for the number. Turn it off to keep the page size unchanged.
Can I skip the cover page?
Yes. Set First page to number to 2 and the cover stays unnumbered. Set Start at to 1 to make page 2 the number 1.
Can I change the colour and size?
Yes, both are options, and the preview updates as you change them.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
