What is Edit PDF?
Sometimes a PDF needs more than one extra line: a corrected price, a date, a note in the margin, a highlighted clause, a stamp or a logo. This editor lets you click a page, pick a tool, and change it — with full control over text size, font, colour, opacity and position.
Use Edit existing text to click a line of text you want to change: the old line is covered with a matching background and an editable copy appears for you to retype. Everything runs in your browser, so your file is not uploaded.
How to edit pdf in 3 steps
Add your PDF
Drag it in or choose it from your device. Every page appears in the preview.
Pick a tool and click
Select Add text, Edit existing text, Rectangle, Highlight, White-out, Draw, Line or Add image, then click or drag on the page. Select any object to change its text, size, font, colour and opacity, or drag it to move it.
Save
Download the edited PDF. Existing links and text outside your changes stay as they were.
Good to know: Added text uses the three standard PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier). Edit existing text hides the original line but does not delete it from the file; use Redact PDF to remove sensitive content permanently.
When to use it
People use it to correct typos in a finished document, fill in forms that have no fields, redline contracts with highlights and shapes, add a stamp or logo, or cover details with white-out.
Tip: place all your changes first, check each page with the page arrows, then save once. Use Undo if something moves by mistake.

Edit PDF – frequently asked questions
Can I change the existing text in a PDF?
Yes, line by line. Use Edit existing text and click the line. The tool covers the old text and gives you an editable copy in a similar size and colour. The original text underneath is hidden by the cover, so for confidential information use Redact PDF instead.
Can I change font, size and colour?
Yes. Select any text and choose Helvetica, Times or Courier, bold or italic, the size in points, and any colour. Shapes, lines and highlights have colour, fill, line width and opacity controls too.
Can I add images or my logo?
Yes. Choose Add image, pick a PNG or JPG, then drag it into place and resize it from the corner handle.
Why do some special characters appear as question marks?
Text is added with standard PDF fonts, which cover Latin letters and common symbols. Characters outside that range, such as Arabic or Chinese, cannot be added.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. Edit PDF runs in your browser, so the file stays on your device. Pagemint has no accounts and does not store your documents.
Is Edit PDF free?
Yes. Edit PDF is free to use, with no signup, no watermark and no daily limit.
